Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Minnesota Minnesota River at New Ulm affecting Brown, Nicollet and Blue Earth Counties. Minnesota River at Granite Falls HWY 212 affecting Renville, Chippewa and Yellow Medicine Counties. Minnesota River at Morton affecting Renville and Redwood Counties. Minnesota River at Montevideo affecting Chippewa, Yellow Medicine and Lac qui Parle Counties. South Fork Crow River below Mayer affecting Carver County. Crow River at Rockford affecting Hennepin and Wright Counties.
What: Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
Where: Minnesota River at Montevideo.
When: Until further notice.
Impacts: At 17.0 feet, Storm sewers may need to be plugged to prevent water from backing up into streets.
Additional Details: - At 900 AM CDT Sunday, the stage was 17.3 feet. - The river continues to gradually fall. - ForecastThe river is expected to fall to 16.0 feet Sunday, July 13. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 17.3 feet on 04/08/1986.
