Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where: Portions of north central North Carolina, including the following counties, Caswell, Rockingham and Stokes and Virginia, including the following counties, Appomattox, Campbell, Charlotte, Halifax, Henry and Pittsylvania.
When: Until 8 AM EDT Monday.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Additional Details: - Heavy rainfall associated with Tropical Depression Chantal is pushing its way through north central North Carolina and will be making its way into south central Virginia over the next 6 to 12 hours. these areas will likely see widespread rainfall totals of 2-3 inches with higher totals of 4 to 6 inches possible near the center of Chantal. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
